The Jedi Guardian is a wall between the good people of the Republic and their enemies and stands firm in the face of overwhelming odds, daring opponents to attack.

  • Role: Melee DPS or Tanking. Wields a single lightsaber.
  • Armour: Heavy
  • Weapons: Single-bladed lightsaber.
  • Primary Attribute(s): Strength, Endurance
  • Forms: Shii-Cho, Soresu, and Shien.

As with all classes, you will have the option to choose an advanced class after you leave your starting world and join with the Republic Fleet. Selecting the Guardian class will lock your character into this advance Jedi Knight class for the rest of the game. The Guardian advanced class fulfills the role of tank or melee dps. The Guardian is capable of wearing heavy armour. The most important ability for the Jedi Guardian is Strength.

Armor Proficiency: Focus 10 Passive Passive None Self Able to equip a Force focus in your off-hand.
Armor Proficiency: Heavy 10 Passive Passive None Self Able to equip heavy combat armor.
Armor Proficiency: Shield Generator 10 Passive Passive None Self Able to equip a personal shield generator in your off-hand.
Sundering Strike 10 Instant 4.5 secs None 4m Strikes the target for X damage, and reduces the target's armor by 4% for 15 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times. Builds 2 focus.
Blade Turning 10 Passive Passive None Self The first 2 seconds of Saber Ward grants 100% melee and ranged defense.
Freezing Force 12 Instant None 2 None Freezes nearby foes, reducing their movement speed by 50% for 9 seconds.
Guard 14 Instant None None 30m While active, the guarded player takes 5% less damage and generates 25% less threat. In addition, so long as you remain within 15 meters of the guarded player, 50% of all incoming damage from enemy players is transferred back to you. Requires Soresu Form.
Soresu Form 14 Instant 1.5 secs None Self Enters a defensive lightsaber form, reducing all damage taken by 6%, increasing armor rating by 60% and threat generation by 50%. Soresu Form also increases shield chance by 15%. While active, taking damage builds 1 focus, but all Strike abilities generate 1 less focus. This effect cannot occur more than once every 6 seconds.
Taunt 16 Instant 15 secs None 30m Taunts the target, forcing it to attack the Knight for 6 seconds. Player targets deal 30% less damage when attacking anyone other than you. Lasts 6 seconds.
Combat Focus 22 Instant 1 min None Self Immediately generates 6 focus.
Force Push 26 Instant 1 min None 10m Deals X kinetic damage, knocks the target back several meters and knocks the target down for 2 seconds. Force Push immediately finishes the cooldown on Force Leap.
Enure 28 Instant 1 min 30 secs None Self Temporarily increases your maximum health by 30% for 10 seconds. When the effect ends, the health is lost.
Challenging Call 30 Instant 45 secs None 15m Taunts all enemies within 15 meters, forcing them to attack the Knight for 6 seconds. Player targets deal 30% less damage when attacking anyone other than you. Lasts 6 seconds.
Saber Throw 36 Instant 30 secs None 10-30m Throws the main-hand lightsaber at a distant target, inflicting X damage and granting 3 focus.
Focused Defense 38 Instant 45 secs 4 None Immediately reduces threat by a moderate amount. For 10 seconds, taking damage spends 1 Focus to heal you for 3% of your maximum health and reduce threat by a low amount. This effect cannot occur more than once every second. This ability can be used while stunned or otherwise controlled.
Guardian Leap 50 Instant 20 secs None 30m Leaps to a friendly target, reducing his or her threat by a moderate amount and reducing damage taken by 20% for 6 seconds.

In addition to the core abilities, the Skill Trees provide the Guardian training in advanced skills.

  • Vigilance - Provides greater skill in single-blade offense and the ability to take enemies down quickly.
  • Defense - Allows the Guardian to more effectively withstand enemy attacks and protect allies.
  • Focus - Specializes in advanced Force techniques and the Shii-Cho lightsaber form.
