[edit] Overview

Military structured Imperial guild, planning on participating in all aspects available to us in the game.

[edit] Recruitment Information

We are looking for mature players that share our vision and agree to the Code of Conduct. By the information we have currently, we are accepting all races and all classes for the Sith Empire. Be sure to read more about us at our main site and carefully read our Code of Conduct before sending in your application. Beyond that, we are happy to welcome you!

[edit] Introduction

The Imperial Guard returns from the darkness to rebuild on the foundation started in 2003 for Star Wars Galaxies.

For two years TIG stood as the strongest and largest Imperial guild on the Naritus server. Known for our large base complexes and "RP-ish" Imperial Crackdowns in Rebellion controlled cities, TIG continued until dissolving due to fewer substantial content additions to the game.

For SW:TOR, "The Guard" has expanded on this foundation. Among them is a revised organizational structure and operating philosophy, streamlined ranks, a dedication toward more activities that promote camaradarie, and Awards/Medals to recognize those who have dedicated themselves to the betterment of The Guard.

[edit] Vision

The Guard exists to facilitate like-minded players in associating with one another to the ends of achieving a more enjoyable gaming experience than possible while playing alone.

Mission

To implement and maintain a guild that is representative of a higher quality of gamer and to provide those individuals with an organization that will help them to achieve in-game goals they have set.

Core Values

I. Provide fair rules and procedures that ensure The Guard meets its Vision, but not at the expense of any players' dignity.

II. Actively participate in our gaming community to support its growth.

III. Instill a culture of respect.

IV. Utilize a chain of command to facilitate decision making both in-game and out of game, but never to support one persons control over another.

Goals

Out-of-Game

Create a professional website and forum that supports all the guild members in their communication & resource gathering needs. Recruit quality players who can help groom other members to meet the standards of the Guard.

In-Game

Support the game developers by experiencing all assets of the game and by including our own play style

[edit] Code of Conduct

All members of The Guard will be bound by the following Code of Conduct. Actions that violate this code will lead to consequences ranging from a private conversation to expulsion.

I. Treat all persons with respect. Especially those who aren't treating you with any. The only possible exception would be an "in-character" "RP" exchange. Racist language will never be tolerated.

II. Put the guild on the same level as yourself. We don't expect you to empty your pockets each day to support the guild, but we will expect you to be just as greedy for the guild as you are for yourself.

III. Support your fellow guild members. There should never be a member of The Guard who needs something, and is ignored. IV. Follow Orders. This has the potential to be the trickiest situation. Acceptable orders are those that relate directly to the game. For example, "move your unit to X and wait for 10 minutes" is an acceptable order. Any order that might be construed as abusive, or outside the realm of acceptable behavior will lead to expulsion of that officer from the Guard. This sort of behavior has no place in a game.

What is expected of YOU?

I. Participation II. Respect III. A positive attitude IV. Lead when necessary; follow when necessary

[edit] Structure

Organization Chart

The Guard is structured like a military organization, divided into Divisions, then Units and finally Squads. Each grouping has a Commanding Officer(CO) and an Executive Officer(XO). Every new recruit is assigned to a Squad in one of the Divisions based on what they listed as their preference in MMOs; PvP or PvE. Currently, there are three Units in each the 902nd, 308th, and 215th. Each unit has at least three Squads each. Roughly, each squad will have 8 members. To view an over view of the structure, please click the link above.
