Overview Basically, Gurus of Destiny is a semi-casual 'good gaming' structured guild of all ages (maturity required) that does a little bit of everything to enjoy all aspects of the game. Our focus is not skill or level, but having fun and enjoying our experience playing TOR. Recruitment Video - Gurus of Destiny - Recruitment Video Alignment We are an alliance of old Jedi Council masters that have separated from long ago. Although we are Republic aligned as we have promised to be, we focus on ourselves first, and then aid the Republic secondary. We have our own spiritual values and beliefs and make our own decisions based on the circumstances at hand. No one’s destiny is controlled, because only you can control your own destiny. We are a united force that's works in secrecy with no faction controlling us. We do not make alliances except under extreme circumstances so no one can dictate their bidding upon us. Members We are a close-knit guild. This means we work together closely and know each other well, and because of this our members are loyal, active, and dedicated to the group values or they are removed. All members participate in discussions about furthering guild success which is our primary goal. Activities also take place often and members are expected to participate in some of them of their choosing. Not everyone can join, we have some requirements. We are open-minded though and believe that most people deserve a chance as long as we have open membership available. If you are active and show honor then we may be for you regardless of your skill. Activities Events are common in this guild but are not required the majority of the time. Although, we do look highly on those who attend and participate in the most which furthers guild success. We like to enjoy all aspects of the game so we do not limit ourselves to purely fighting others or on raiding. To become a truly skilled individual it’s important to have a larger perspective on the world around us. Close-Knit Our size is unimportant, what we are concerned with however is the quality of the members we have. We determine quality by how members act and participate. We are not concerned with your age or how good you are at something in particular but how you get along with others and respect your fellow members. Respect and honor are what truly makes a good member. Goals The overall goal is simple: Guild success. This means that we follow our values which are the soul of our existence. We wish to maintain our privacy. We seek out honorable and dedicated members. We strive for furthering our personalities and enjoying the entertainment of each and every world. We want to experience all aspects of the game and explore and solve the mysteries of the unknown. We are the Gurus of Destiny. Positions Our structure is simple: admin / member, or in our case Archguru / Guru. Each has different opportunities. ARCHGURU (Council) Luminary – GD Leader Emissary – GD Co-Leader Regulator – TF Leader. Head Hunter – Recruiting Leader. PvP Overseer – PvP Leader. PvE Overseer – PvE Leader. Scholar – GVP Leader. Guru (Non-Council) Guru - GD member. All GD members can participate (some have qualifications) in the following groups: GD Video Productions - Join the fun! Participate in videos that the world will see! Some are purely fun (must be organized), others have drama or are purely RP'ing. Be a performer, or a producer! PvP Academy - Learn to competitively play against others in organized PvP dueling. Become a great player, and for those experienced, teach others how to hone in their skills. Raiding Grounds - Large scale organized raids on the NPC's. Get your character leveled up and lets get some loot! Task Force - Are you a GD patriot? Want to secure our borders!? This is a security team that ensures our safty both in and out of game with several levels members can work their way up towards. This is a pre-admin role, so join up if your looking to be a leader!
