The Black Empire is now operational and seeking mature, quality members to join it's ranks.
Why Join The Black Empire?
Q: Who is the Black Empire? A: We are a U.S. based guild that plans to play on a RP-PVP server upon release.
Q: Who are you aligned with the Sith or the Jedi? A: The Black Empire is outside the outer rims. We have few connections with the actual Sith Empire itself but have much in common. We have a hatred for the Jedi and their peace. We believe that strength is achieved through anger and is a common saying in the Black Empire
Q:How is the Black Empire structured? A: The sovereign ruler of the Black Empire is the Emperor himself, Emperor Galaksi. Although the figurehead and ruler of the Empire, Galaksi prefers to rule the Empire through his "Hand".
How are we different from other guilds?
We'll have ingame RP ceremonies for promotions and the like.
We have a cutthroat system of promotion, as if you dont do your job than you wont have a job.
Even if you have a friend on the inside, with a high rank, you'll still be treated the same as any other person applying for the guild.
Quite common for Officer and Council positions to be open for anyone who fits the job description.
Best leadership that you can find, we assure you, as we offer a great amount of dedication.
Many, many, experienced players and members of the U.S military who really know what its like to be apart of a team and a tight-knit group of great people.
Why you should choose the Black Empire?
1. Enjoyable RP. Many fun and innovative RP themed events. In game promotion ceremonies will be held with uniforms, proper rank promotions, etc. Ranks will actually be fun to have since the RP theme will be prevalent as most times. Example) The Council Members are each a voting member. At any time if they feel another Council Member isn't doing his duty and needs removed he can call a vote within the Council. If the vote wins the Council Member is therefore removed and a search is done for a replacement. Many different ideas like this will be used to keep a fun, entertaining but more importantly EFFECTIVE Guild. Example2) Sergeant Z. is in the Alpha Company, 1st Squadron has been doing a great job all around. he's received praise from other Commanders and has generated notice from the Council. The Squadron Commander actually will have the ability to actually lead his members. Colonel B has a open Lieutenant position in Squadron 2. Colonel A talks to Colonel B and they arrange a transfer for Sergeant Z. He is then transferred and immediately promoted (at a promotion ceremony in-game) by his new Squadron Commander.
2. Opportunities. A new Guild brings opportunities for new members. The Black Empire won't be promoting people right away rather will be in a "hold" status until we feel we have enough personnel to start filling slots. If you're looking to join and become a Council Member you'll have to remain patient as a Recruit. No one will join as a high ranking member. I have appointed a few honorary Captains that will be proving themselves to me. Once we go live they are in the same boat as the Recruits, they could move up or down.
3. The leadership. Yes, I hate to toot my own horn but when I start something I do the best I can. As a Emperor I knew that opening a semi ugly site would be disastrous in terms of recruiting and displaying the potential of this guild. I didn't want to throw out a announcement PM saying the site is in construction and look like I was throwing only a little bit of effort. Instead I remained patient and learned flash, HTML, PHP and a ton of other things so I could provide a top notch site that any Black Empire member would be proud to call his own. The site is top notch and so will the leadership from the top down.
4. Quality and mature members. Many Guilds say that they only want mature members yet you commonly see some stupid poster on the forums and wonder how he got in. Not here. Our Academy is an actual effective training Command where each recruit will be evaluated and at any time can be removed. No exceptions will be given if a member is not quality.
[edit] Ranks/Descriptions
The Hand of the Emperor is the permanent member of the 5-member Council. He may only be removed by the Emperor himself and is protected against any Council "Vote to remove" motion.
The other Council Members each hold the rank of Colonel and and all Command a separate unit within the Black Empire. Currently those Command Units are; 1st Squadron 2nd Squadron The Academy The War Cabinet
Each Squadron is the primary manpower of battle for the Empire. They are commanded by a Colonel (Council Member) and are assisted by their Executive Officers (Major). Each squadron has three Companies made up of 10-15 Soldiers of the Black Empire. The Companies are commanded by a Captain (Lieutenant-XO) and are the primary raid leaders in game.
The Academy's Command is held by a Colonel as well (Major-XO)The primary goal of the Academy is to recruit, train and place new recruits. The Colonel receives goals and reports from the Council and formulates plans with his staff to bring in quality membership. They possess a small staff of Enlisted members to help achieve their goals.
The War Cabinet Command is also held by a Colonel. (Major-XO). They provide reports to the Council and the Emperor himself when requested. They provide all in-game information and are generally known as the Intel guys. They possess a small staff of Enlisted members. They also provide primary diplomatic relations to fellow Sith guilds.
[edit] The Emperor
Emperor Galaski is the sovereign ruler of the Black Empire. He exercises command over all aspects within the Empire Military and Non-Military. It is quite common for him to rule through a "Hand Of The Emperor" and the Council, rather than portray his public image. In times of struggles, the Emperor maintains a very demanding and direct leadership role in which he is personally involved in the decisions of the Empire, rather than receiving reports from his Hand. Little is known of Emperor Galaski, reports of his dealings are rare and his sightnings even rarer. He appears to use a handful of close and trusted Advisors. Galaski is the final approving authority on major Imperial changes, and must sign-off on Senior promotions.
[edit] The Council
The Council is the common ruling body of the Black Empire. The Council consists of the most powerful members in the Black Empire. The Hand Of The Empire is the head of the Council, as he/she is closest to the Emperor himself. The Empire retains the right to vote off anyone at anytime, but only if a Council Member has shown both weakness and in a fragile state. The Council resorts to an Order Of Removal for voting off a member of the Council or determining the member's fate.

The Council is headed by the most powerful member in the Empire, besides the Emperor himself, and is the personal voice of Galaski. The Hand Of The Emperor can only be removed by the Emperor himself, and not by the Council Members. When the Emperor is gone, or on leave of absense, the Hand takes charge and responsibility for the Black Empire. The Hand maintains a veto power that override a Council Member's request and can approve/disapprove a promotion. The Hand is not the Apprentice of the Emperor but more of a voice. The Hand Of The Emperor has a Sith Apprentice (Vacant).
[edit] 1st Squadron
Commanded by Colonel Lynx, also a Council Member. The primary goal of the 1st Squadron is provide primary manpower, agressive, and ambitious combat for the Black Empire. The 1st Squadron is the first line of combat in all aspects of war. Colonel Lynx commands every aspect of the 1st Squadron and assumes responibilities for sucess and failure. The Colonel remains the strongest of the Squadron and will provide ruthless unequaled leadership through thick and thin. Lynx is to promote and demote any Member who he deems worthy or unworthy. This Squadron also consists of 3 companies in which all have about 15 members each including a Captain and Lieutenant in each company.
[edit] 2nd Squadron
Commander of the 2nd Squadron, Colonel Hysteria. The primary goal of the 2nd Squadron is to backup the first and ensure victories that the 1st Squadron cant do alone. Always being the 2nd line of combat or defense in war. The Commander, also the Colonel of the 2nd Squadron, will keep the Squadron tough and able while ensuring that the Company Commander's and Officers below him/her are strong and willing to go on. The 2nd Squadron Commander is also incharge of promotions and demotions within his/her Command. The 2nd Squad consists of 3 companies which all include a Captain, a Lieutenant, and about 10 recruits.
[edit] The Academy
The Academy is under the command of Colonel Oskid, who is also a Council Member. Oskid commands and watches over every aspect of The Academy, which include Recruitment, Evaluation, and placing of Recruits. The Colonel is to have a success plan, which is created by the Colonel and his Officers, and it is to bring the Black Empire quality recruits and mature members to strengthen the Empire's numbers. He may at any time drop a recruit or advance them through Probationary Period to becoming full fledged members. The Academy cannot promote any members to anything, that power is held by the 1st and 2nd Squadron Colonels alone. Although Hysteria commands The Academy, he does little in actual recruitment, that responibility is held by Major (Vacant). Major (Vacant) is Oskid's personal officer and his 2nd in command of The Academy. Hysteria is more of an overlord of recruitment and mostly develops realistic goals and supervises The Academy.
[edit] Officer Of The Academy
Major (Vacant) is the Executive Officer in The Academy. His role is recruitment of manpower and resources. What the Major does is vital to the growth and stabablilty of the Empire. This placement of staff is given to more of the ambitious and powerful members of the guild, rather than to anyone who is willing to participate. It is common that this rank would test the Officer's skills as its a position of hard work and intergrity.
[edit] The War Cabinet
The Commanding Colonel of the War Cabinet is still vacant. The Cabinet is a position of Intel for the Emperor. The Colonel is to find out what is needed to know of enemies and other investigations and is to report back to the Council. The War Cabinet also keeps guild relations with fellow Sith guilds and can ally guilds or unally guilds. Usually establishing diplomatic relationships within the Sith Empire and it's guilds. They are the technical branch of the Empire and provide in-game information that is needed, at all times. The Colonel, vacant at the moment, is responsible for providing the Emperor and Council with quick and truthful reports on anything the Council wants to look into by request. The Commander is to obtain long term pacts with individuals who might be of worth to the Empire and to further promote Sith dominance over the Galaxy. The Colonel also is able to recruit and promote Junior Officers in the War Cabinet itself.

As a member of the Black Empire certain core requirements are needed for each member. Goals of the members are as follows. You must remain as active as possible when it comes to the Black Empire, our forums, and our affairs. You must retain loyalty to The Black Empire and its Council. You maintain the RP theme of the guild, reguarding ranks and duties. All reasonable orders from a commanding Officer are to be followed to the dot. You demonstrate the utmost maturity where it involves The Black Empire, wether its on our forums, the SWTOR forums, or anywhere TBE is brought up. Goals of the guild itself are as follows aswell. To establish The Black Empire as a top guild within the SWTOR Community and on the server that we choose. To stay fully operational at all times, and to fill the Officer ranks with full fledged and quality members. To develop, adapt, and create a fun team of people who promote ambition, success, and dominance.
