Overview
Eternal Vigilance is a democratic multi-gaming guild.
Eternal Vigilance established a Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) division on October 23rd, 2008. It was founded and is currently led by Commander Cordo Font.
The division endeavors to be active in SWTOR's pre-release community and is actively recruiting. Members have been divided into various teams (with mission objectives such as recruitment, diplomacy, lore, and research), and division officers have been assigned to spearhead these efforts.
The division considers itself to be community-focused and well-rounded, and is open to all play-styles (including hardcore/casual players, roleplayers, and so forth). Upon release, the division will select a North American server (on the east coast, if regions are distinguished).
Eternal Vigilance has declared itself to be a member of the Galactic Republic, yet in terms of guild lore, relations with the Republic and Jedi Order are strained. The majority of Eternal Vigilance's members shall assume a gray alignment, meaning they do not espouse the values of the Jedi Code. The guild believes that the Republic must be protected at all costs, but does not agree with the complacent and conservative stance that has so far been taken by the standing government and their Jedi protectors.

Background Story
In orbit of the planet Munto Codru in the Codru system, near Pakuuni in the Outer Rim Territories, is located the secret base of operations of the secret order known as Eternal Vigilance. On board the space station, known to those who are aware of its existence as the "Aeternum", are the meeting halls of this most illustrious order.
The founding of Eternal Vigilance is shrouded in mystery, and it is known fully only to those in the higher echelons of the order. Eternal Vigilance was founded in the aftermath of the last major Sith incursion, during the Revan controversy, by outraged rogue Jedi Master Jeordam Dre'na. Dre'na was furious with the Jedi council, for not committing more resources to the fight, and considered them to be cowardly and incompetent. In the aftermath of the war, he left to found his own order, that of the Eternally Vigilant. Though the recounted tales of these early years are vague, it is apparent that Dre'na must have had friends with considerable wealth and power.
In secret, Master Dre'na sought out individuals of the Jedi Order whom he knew from personal experience would follow him, and who agreed with him. Over the next centuries, the order grew, and by the onset of this latest Sith threat, the order had grown to encompass a small army, over a thousand men and women in size. The order had grown not just to include Jedi Knights and Masters, but also to include politicians, high standing government officials, wealthy traders, admirals, and the seedier sort of characters - smugglers and bounty hunters, and, in the most recent years, rumoured force adepts trained entirely by the order itself. These latest rumours may well illustrate new ambition and newly gained resources.
The Eternally Vigilant hold in common one value: that they shall fight the Sith with whatever means necessary and no matter the cost. Such is the nature of the peril the Sith pose to the galaxy, and such is their difference to the Jedi Order. The "Grey Knights" of Eternal Vigilance do not shun emotion as do their Jedi counterparts.
Until very recently, the existence of Eternal Vigilance was known to a select few of the masters of the Jedi Order, who sought to minimize knowledge of the rogue Jedi faction. Over the last centuries, these leaders have come to an understanding about the Eternally Vigilant. Whilst Eternal Vigilance's methods are sometimes considered borderline dark side by members of the Jedi Order (especially the most conservative members), they are relatively secure in the fact that Eternal Vigilance is a staunch opposer of the Sith; thus, this makes them de-facto allies.
With the onset of the newest Sith threat, Eternal Vigilance (an order which can lay near dormant for decades, apart from regular upper echelon meetings) is suddenly facing a set of new challenges. The operatives of the order have been called into service on the Aeternum. In the midst of this new muster, they elected a new leader, the mysterious and enigmatic Cordo Font, a man whose history and nature is shrouded in relative secrecy. Under Font's leadership, the order has moved from being an organisation completely unknown to the public to one that is beginning to take its place in the limelight.
During the fighting that took place before the current uneasy truce was settled, reports continually arrived from the far corners of the galaxy of battles that were expected to be hopelessly lost, but were turned by the sudden and unexpected arrival of the warriors of Eternal Vigilance. These events suggest that the order has an enormous capacity for information gathering. Its warriors have gained renown as extremely disciplined and deadly. It is speculated by Republic and Sith intelligence that this sudden change to a more prominent and direct strategy is the result of a recent change of leadership.
Lately, during the truce, ambassadors of the order have come forth to secure alliances and form blocks of power designed to halt Sith progress in the galaxy. Whilst the inner workings of this organisation are completely unknown to outsiders, its presence is more and more felt within the Republic. Eternal Vigilance knows war is coming, and it is drawing upon centuries of built up resources and knowledge to recruit new members to its cause in order to stand ready to fight against the Sith, alongside the Republic. So far, the order has refused to give up any information on its inner workings to the Republic, nor has it accepted any Republic authority over its operations.
